Heat from supercomputers recycled at DTU

A project at DTU Risø Campus shows that heat recovery is the most sustainable and economical choice—even at a time of rising electricity prices.

In 2021, the server park contributed 2,525.5 [MWh] to DTU Risø Campus’s district heating network, which constitutes a contribution of 19 per cent of the total heat consumption. The heat pump consumed 421.3 [MWh] electricity in 2021.
